Dear Parents and Community Members,
This week, several CMP staff had the privilege of attending the Every Child Counts Symposium sponsored by the Association of California School Administrators (ACSA). The theme of the symposium was “See me, Hear Me, Teach Me.” This resonates with Montessori education because for us, each individual child is unique and special, needs recognition and given a voice in the community as we develop relationships and teach the whole child. It also validated many of the practices and approaches that we use. Ms. Katherine and I attended different sessions and we learned so much in the areas of creating a community of care, restorative practices, social-emotional learning and special education, among others. We are excited to share it with the community.
Have a great weekend!
