A Message from the Executive Director

Wow!  What a fantastic first day of school this has been!  I had the pleasure of greeting CMP students, staff and families this morning, and was thrilled to see the many smiling faces and to experience the excitement of  First Day ...a day filled with hope, opportunity and optimism.

Thank you for choosing CMP, and thank you for your support as we serve together, exemplifying and modeling respect, kindness and civility in all things.

In the coming weeks, I will be sharing information about many of our noteworthy endeavors and projects.

I am humbled by (and appreciative of) the efforts of our incredible staff who are committed to the highest level of service to our students and families.

In closing, I share the words of President John F. Kennedy:  "We must find time to stop and thank the people who make a difference in our lives."

Warmly, Gary

2019-20 School Calendar Survey your opinion matters

Dear CMP Students, Parents, and Staff,

As the school year is coming to a close, I would like to thank all of you for your continued support of our Montessori philosophy and program.   Your input is valued and makes us stronger each year so that we can provide the best for our students.

During the 2019-2020 school year, CMP will be making a change that will impact that school year calendar.  Beginning in 2019-2020, CMP will offer five (5) weeks of intersession: one (1) week at Thanksgiving and the remaining four (4) weeks divided between the winter and spring breaks.   We believe this change will promote optimal learning for our students, as well as, programmatic, operational, and fiscal efficiency.

Please take a moment to complete this short survey by clicking this link: https://survs.com/survey/6c1ly95qsf.   After we collect the survey results, we will be sharing this information with you next fall.

Spring Update/Appreciation

In the coming weeks, you will be hearing about many great things happening at CMP.  Your Principals will also be inviting you to attend site-based LCAP presentations.

As we catch our collective breath heading into the final two months of the school year, I would like to acknowledge a few ‘unsung heroes,’ as follows:

I have the privilege, and honor, of working with an exceptional group of dedicated professionals in the CMP office.  This group, known as the Central Administration Team (CAT), provides critical support

National Walkout Day

Dear CMP Community,
As a follow-up to my previous communication, I wish to commend all CMP students for their peaceful response to today’s National Walkout Day. This includes students who worked in their classrooms, as well as those who chose to participate in the Walkout.

The peaceful manner in which students conducted themselves today is consistent with the Montessori education they have received, as students at CMP.

As always, thank you for your continued support.
Sincerely,
Gary S. Bowman, M.S.Ed.
Executive Director/Superintendent

CMP Response to High School Shooting

Dear CMP Families,

I wanted to take a quick moment to follow up on the CMP Network Response to the recent shootings at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida.  This incident has ‘touched a nerve’ for many of us.  We are saddened at this senseless loss of life, and frustrated that, as a nation, we are unable to provide the highest level of assurance that our schools are safe harbors for our children, and for those who faithfully serve with unparalleled dedication.

2018 All Grades Lottery

CMP will be holding our next lottery on Monday, April 23,  located at our Central Administration Office at 5330 Gibbons Drive in Carmichael. Due to space, this lottery draw is for adults only. Please note the times and grades that our campuses will be pulling and/or wait-listing.

CMP Network Response to High School Shooting

Dear CMP Families,

Our entire community is deeply saddened about the terrible event that occurred at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida on February 14.  We extend our thoughts and prayers to the victims’ families, the Parkland community, and to an entire nation that has been devastated by this inconceivable loss.

New Students Accepted at California Montessori Project- Carmichael Campus

In response to the unexpected closure of Paramount Collegiate Academy, California Montessori Project-San Juan has opened its doors to 3 sixth grade and 2 seventh grade students, utilizing the wait-list procedures as presented in CMP’s Admission Policy.
